Times Two was an American male duo of vocalists/keyboardists that wrote most of their own material. Times Two were Shanti Jones and Johnny Dollar, both from Point Reyes, California. They had a hit with a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song, "Cecilia". It reached number one in several countries in 1988.Their 1988 album, X2, reached #137 on the Billboard 200. In the U.S., their biggest hit was "Strange But True", which peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1988. In 1990, the band released a follow-up EP called "Danger Is My Business" and a new single, "Set Me Free." Neither made any impact on the charts. Also in 1988, Doug Breitbart signed Times Two as the opening act for Debbie Gibson's Out of the Blue Tour.
